ATISHARA:can you get it right?

So, yeah am finally telling you guys what struggles I have to face on a daily basis just because my father invested time to gimme a meaning full name.
I know my name will never be printed on a cute key chain OR a random mug,but come on its not that hard to pronounce! A-T-I-S-H-A-R-A. It is quite simple but I don't know why people make it complicated (which hurts TT)
Every new session when the teacher absolutely slaughters my name in attendance and everybody laughs, I ask to god 'WHY LORD,WHY ME!?'
From Atishreya, Akshara,Alisha to what not. But now I just let people pronounce it wrong because am tired, am just tired of correcting them.
Often my name is misspelled as ATISARA which is even worse as it is the medical term for diarrhoea and liquid motion (which is super gross). I mean if you know how I feel why would you say that huh -_-
Let me tell you guys once and for all that ATISHARA is another graceful name of goddess LAKSHMI whom we all want to favour us, so next time you misspell my name, you know in which account it gets credited :')
Also, each letter of my name re-presents one of my family member which makes it even more COOLER but no, you have to call me Atisara for no damn reason.
Well but after years I have realized, am just carrying forward my family legacy. People call my mum 'SAMOSA' (as it rhymes with TAMOSHA xD) and my masi 'DHANIYA' (as obviously it jingles with TANIMA).So I got the hook now.
Thanks dad, for giving me such a great name, I'll always be grateful to you for this :))
And am  now just waiting for the goddess on whose name I have been named to grace me:D
Signing off as your

  7. Wow πŸ‘Œ πŸ‘Œ, sweetheart πŸ’•, very well written. I am also waiting 🀞🏻 for my turn as my daughter's name is ANAHITA and cherry on the top is her surname PURI, people already started calling her (ΰ€°ाΰ€―ΰ€€ा πŸ₯— ΰ€ͺूΰ€°ी), but she is too young to feel sad or argue. Let's see, how she reacts in future. 😊
All the best, keep writing. πŸ™ŒπŸ˜˜

  30. Hey Atishara,
Just read your blog, a super write up dear. Same used to happen with my sister whose name is Sfurti but even her teachers called her Stuti, Sfruti and what not. We just used to laugh though she used to get a bit annoyed, but my piece of advice to you is just shrugg your shoulders and move away. It is you who have to decide which things should affect you and which ones you can just part up with...
    Hope you understood
God bless you dear, keep writing .....
